I ended up going 2.6.13 to 2.9.x to 3.0.x and it seems to have worked fine.
The notes for 3.0.x indicate that it can only upgrade from 2.8.x or earlier.

Upgrading from 2.6.13 to current 3.x version
I've inherited an old phpMyFAQ running on 2.6.13. I would like to upgrade to the current 3.x version. Do I need to do sequential upgrades to intermediate versions or can I jump directly into 3.x ? The new server is PHP 7.4 and the old 2.6.13 version is sitting on a 5.6.x PHP server. Thank you for yo...

Full PDF Print Out
Hi, We use phpMyFAQ to provide guidance to our users and have sections that it would be nice to print out as a single PDF file instead of one PDF file for each entry. For example, if we have a section called "Installation Guide" with 15 entries, it would be nice to be able to print one PDF...

Re: Making FAQ only visible to registered users?
Thanks. Is there a way to 'bulk' update all the existing FAQ entries to be associated with a particular group or do I need to do them one-by-one? I'm very comfortable with mySQL, so if there's some sort of UPDATE command I can issues against the database to do this all at once that would probably be...

Making FAQ only visible to registered users?
Is it possible to make the contents of the FAQ available ONLY to registered users and administrators?
Another words, a non-registered user would see no content, only a page prompting them to register.

Re: WYSIWYG problems with Safari 4.0.5 on Mac OS X
I have to say I think it's an issue of integration into phpMyFAQ because tiny_mce works fine with Safari on other applications. On 2.0.x of phyMyFAQ, the WYSIWYG editor does work correctly. I'm assuming on 2.0.x both the phpMyFAQ code and the tiny_mce code base are different. Right now, we can't use...

Re: WYSIWYG problems with Safari 4.0.5 on Mac OS X
We have installed 2.6.4
I've even tried downloading the most recent version of tiny_mce and installing it in the 'editor' folder, but no luck. ( the new tincy_mce does work with Firefox on Mac OSX as did the old version.)

WYSIWYG problems with Safari 4.0.5 on Mac OS X
Using Safari 4.0.5 on Mac OS X. I can successfully load a page for editing "Once", but then the next time I load a different FAQ for editing, all I get is the raw HTML and no WYSIWYG editor. I'm logged in as an Admin and have WYSWIG turned 'on' in the configuration file. I have to clear th...

Re: Upgrade from 2.0.15 to latest 2.5.0
Hi, I'm confused as well as to the upgrade procedure. (I'm going from 2.0 to 2.6.x). I'm also moving the FAQ server to a new box. So really what I want to do is install a fresh copy of 2.6 on the new box and import the old 2.0 data and have it converted. I've saved my 2.0 mysql data to a backup.sql ...

Print all Questions in a Category??
Is it possible to print all the questions in a particular category instead of having to print them one at a time?
A similar question is: Is it possible to display all the questions for a particular Category on the screen all at once?
