online users counter going mad. (or cookie handling)
After upgrading from 2.5.2 to 2.6.1, the counter for online users seems to go mad. When navigating through my faq-site, the counter for guest users is increased by 1 on every new page load. The problem appeared only when not logged in. After logging in, the counter works as normal. Clearing PMF rela...

Re: only show login fields when connecting via HTTPS
Hmm, OK, I improved my patch. (Seems I found time for this after all. ) This may need some improvement, but it seems to work. The patch contains the german and englisch translations, the patched initial sql-table files and has support for the configuration menu.

Re: only show login fields when connecting via HTTPS
Would be nice to have this in the next version.
I didn't know there are still people out there who can't use HTTPS. That's quite strange, but they probably have accounts at some strange webhosters.
I also would make this patch complete, but I don't have time at the moment to make it good enough.

only show login fields when connecting via HTTPS
Since it is insecure to send authentication credentials via an unencrypted connection, I patched my installation of phpmyfaq 2.5.2 to only show the loginfields if connected via HTTPS. If you are connected via HTTP only, you will only see a link, which points to the HTTPS version of the current view....

edit article preview is broken with code highlighting
When I edit an article wich contains the syntaxhighlighter <pre> tag and I click on the Preview button, the Code in the <pre>-tag gets filled up with e.g. <br /> tags. This even stays after hitting the Back button in the preview. After the article is saved, the highlighted code stays broken.

syntaxhighlighting for perl doesn't work (with patch)
The syntax highlighter for perl is not included in "phpmyfaq-2.5.2/template/artikel.tpl".
this concerns at least versions 2.5.1 and 2.5.2.
patch is attached
