Yes. I had already changed it to .htaccess. rewrite engine on. rewritebase /.

When i activate the mod_rewrite option in the phpmyfaq configuration, i am NOT able to open any link in my site. It gives '404 Not found error'.
But, when i turn it on, the links are working fine.

What change should i make to htaccess or any other file to make the Activate mod_rewrite option work ...

In the documentation-preparation para it says----->......It might help to set chmod 777 to the whole phpMyFAQ directory to avoid problems during the installation. Does it mean i need to set 777 ONLY to the faq directory or 777 to ALL the files and folders within that faq directory?
