Re: 2 separate FAQ's on 1 server
I have the 2.8.0 RC running on my Synology NAS now. I'm trying to figure out how the multi-site feature works. Do I manually need to create the folders for the 2nd instance and then tell PMF to make a 2nd instance so it can write stuff to that folder? I'll try out more stuff, but I like the new look...

Re: 2 separate FAQ's on 1 server
Does this mean that I need to adjust the existing installations I have and need to do serious data export/import or that I can simply upgrade to version 2.8 when it comes out?
Right now I have I have a XAMPP install like this:

Re: 2 separate FAQ's on 1 server
Hi Thorsten,
Good to know
Will this be in a beta version first?
I'd be happy to test it for you.
Kind regards,
Peter

2 separate FAQ's on 1 server
I have the following situation (see picture). When user1 logs into FAQ1 all is fine. However, if he logs into FAQ2 and then does something in FAQ1, he gets kicked out of that one and vice versa. Is this situation possible at all? Or do I have to make changes? I have discovered that for each login in...

Re: How to translate phpMyFAQ?
I will work on the Dutch version in my spare time and send it to you when ready. Some bits need re-translating bc they are not logical Dutch sentences.
If you have new releases or things that need translated in the future, you are welcome to ask me.
Kind Regards,
Peter

Button on/off function
How about the ability to turn on or off the Facebook/Twitter/mail buttons individually, since not everyone will use it, or will want to turn some of the functionality off to prevent abuse.

Peter

Re: Forgot password email
Good news, I got it to work! It was my own fault. Thanks to your remark about the native PHP mail function being used. I remembered yesterday during another WAMP setup that I didn't input my mailserver details in this setup. I looked in C:\xampp\php\php.ini, found the following and changed it to my ...

Re: Change user password from admin interface
I understand, however, if the user forgets his password and the email address he used to register the only thing left to do for the admin is delete the account and make a new one. If the admin can change the password for the user that would circumvent that measure and save a lot of trouble. Kind Reg...

Re: Forgot password email
Yes I did. I tried several addresses in fact, but it didn't work for some reason.
Do I need to change something in the configuration or a setting in a file somewhere?
Kind regards,
Peter

Change user password from admin interface
What would be of great asset for people who haven't setup LDAP (yet) is that when I click edit on a user I get an additional field where I can change the users password. Only when the logged in user has rights to do so of course.

Forgot password email
Hi,
The forgot password function does not work. Since it goes via email, do you need to configure a mailserver somewhere?
I couldn't find anything about that in the manual.
Thanks in advance!
Greetings Peter
