I added following line in conf/extra/httpd-mpm.conf and restarted apache: Thank you very much for this hint!!!

I ran a test with the new release 2.8.8. But both errors still exist (search isn´t working and clicking on a link from the instant search won´t show up a page).
Can I provide any further information for you to localize the problem?

Sounds good :-) I noticed one thing that might be interesting too: When I get a result thru the instant search the link to an FAQ may not work. But if I delete the part "&highlight=MYSEARCHEXPRESSION" at the end of the URL the page shows up... In the meantime I tested with Version 2.8....
