What happened to the Glossary?

I started entering glossary items via the Admin interface. But I can't find a way to view them in the user interface. What am I missing?

More details on our user model

Thanks for thinking about this problem. I would expect other users might have this need as well. Just so you have all the background information, here's some more about our user model. Essentially, we have 3 classes of user: Internal - view only. These are our Agents. They can only view FAQ and ask ...

Groups aren't available when creating Category

Just noticed this: When I create a new category, both Group and User permissions pull down menus have users in them. After I save and edit the category record, the Group pull down then contains groups, and the user pull down contains users. So it's just a bug in generating the add category page. I t...

Users with no Admin rights should not see Administration

Perhaps our user model differs from your concept, but I think that registered users who have no administration rights should not see the admin home page. Currently "guest" users can see the phpMyFAQ home page and do not see a link to Administration in the login area. That is as it should be. However...

Still not entirely fixed

I think you are 95% of the way there: I checked out the latest source by doing cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@thinkforge.org:/cvsroot/phpmyfaq login cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@thinkforge.org:/cvsroot/phpmyfaq co -r PMF_2_0 phpmyfaq (my version of index.php is 1.113 on the PMF_2_0 (branch: 1.113.2)) Now,...

Can I change the default Group and User permissions?

When I add a new FAQ, the default values for user and group are restricted access. Is there a way to change this so the default is accessible to all users and all groups?

Thanks

Additional info

I noticed that things behave a little differently when trying to restrict access to a category, instead of a question: If I edit a category, I can change the access to either All Groups or Restrict Access to the Admin group (the first group I created). If I restrict to Admin, I can see the restricti...

Suggestion: Put a Save button at the top of the Edit Questio

I'd like to suggest putting a Save button on the top of the Edit Question screen. If you have the defaults set correctly, you never need to scroll below the "fold" to hit the Save button when adding or editing questions. (I currently have to copy by hand over 200 FAQs so every second counts!)

Unable to save User/Group permissions for articles

The User and Group Permissions are not being saved when I change them from the default. Steps: I created a Category (General). I created two FAQ entries (question 1 and question 2) I created two user Groups (Admin and LOAgent) I edit question 1 and set the Group permission to LOAgent (it was set to ...

phpMyFAQ 2.0.0-RC2: Select All rights link doesn't work

The "select all" link in the User Administration page doesn't do anything. Link: admin/index.php?action=user&user_action=update_data I created a new user, and want to give them all rights. I click on the "Select All" link but nothing happens. I tried saving the user first then clicked Select All. St...

Bugs in Groups access?

ah, ok! I think I see how it's supposed to work. But there are still some rough spots, perhaps you already know about them, but I couldn't find other posts on this forum, so I'll mention them here: 1) When you create a category or FAQ entry, you can specify the user access and the group access. But ...

re: User Authentication

Thanks for the reply but please forgive me as I still don't see what I need. Groups seem to only be for Administrator role. I want groups of end users who can only see content and perhaps add comments, ratings, etc. Can I define the permission set of the groups to only view content and assign our Ag...

Can groups be used for end-user access?

Ok, I see how to set up a new group. But it doesn't look like there is any access control for end users? I'd like to set up a group (say, "Agents") and require them to log in. Ideally, each user has their own login. Then we can control access to content based on the group membership while tracking i...

User authentication and restricted content?

Greetings I've installed the current beta 2.0.0 and cannot find the features I was hoping to see. Perhaps you haven't implemented them yet?
