Re: LDAP in 2.9.2

Thorsten - I enabled debug mode and when I attempt to login via LDAP I receive the following: phpMyFAQ warning [2]: constant(): Couldn't find constant 17 in /var/www/faq/inc/PMF/Ldap.php on line 120 I'm no programmer, so I don't know what to make of line 120.... 117 // optionally set Bind version 11...

Re: Allow users to view PDF attachments without logging in

Excellent. Thank you! It seems to be working now.

As a follow-up question to this -- do attachments (such as PDFs) have their full text indexed? Or is it only the content of the actual FAQ that gets indexed for search?

LDAP in 2.9.2

I upgraded to 2.9.2 and LDAP is no longer working. It worked fine in 2.8.18.

The proper values are in config/ldap.php.

Permission level is medium and Enable LDAP support is checked under Security.

What logs would I be able to look at to help troubleshoot this?

Re: Allow users to view PDF attachments without logging in

Thanks Thorsten.

Could you tell me the name of the option I should be looking for?

Thanks!

Allow users to view PDF attachments without logging in

Hello.

I am running version 2.9.2 and in order for a user to view an attachment (i.e., a PDF), the software requires them to login. Is there anyway around this, so visitors could view the attachment?

Thanks!

Re: Users not authorized to see attachments unless logged in

Thanks Thorsten!

Forgive me, but I'm not a programmer and have difficulty deciphering code. What exactly do I need to remove? I tried removing && $permission['export'] from line 123, but I am still having the same issue.

What modification should I be making?

Users not authorized to see attachments unless logged in

Hi all - Running phpMyFAQ 2.8.18 on Ubuntu. I have articles that have PDFs attached to them, however, when a user who is not logged in tries to view the PDF they get a message stating "You are not authorized". If I log in I can view the PDF just fine. We DO NOT want our users logging in --...

Remove sign up option

Hello -

Running version 2.8.8 and I'm interested in removing the Sign up option. We really only want administrators to login, nobody else should need an account.

Thanks!

Re: Categories gone after 2.8.1 --> 2.8.2 upgrade

HI, okay, good to hear. Which issue was it? bye Thorsten Something with the /tmp directory having the wrong owner/permissions. I'm not an expert by any means, but /tmp was not owned by root -- changed it to root and it started working all of a sudden. I did update the entire system before this prob...

No longer an issue. There were bigger MySQL problems. Once I figured those out, the categories were showing again.

Thanks!

I am unable to see them anywhere in the Web interface. Signed in as a guest or as admin I can't see them. Again, I do see them in the database still.

Follow-up. I see the categories are still in tact at the database level...just now showing up in the WebUI.

Categories gone after 2.8.1 --> 2.8.2 upgrade

Just as the subject says. My categories are gone after an upgrade from 2.8.1 to 2.8.2. It's possible I screwed something up...but I don't think I did! I didn't get any errors when running update.php.

Thanks!
