Update-Anleitung

Post by hhullen »

Hallo, alle miteinander,

ich bin auf der Suche nach einer Update-Anleitung (von 2.6.4 nach 2.6.17).

Einige Updates habe ich schon hinbekommen; derzeit habe ich nur

http://www.phpmyfaq.de/documentation.2.6.en.php#3c

gefunden, und diese Anleitung verwirrt mich: von wo nach wo muss ich kopieren?

Und von welcher der beiden Versionen darf ich (z.B.) "images" nicht kopieren?
Viele Grüsse
Helmut

The Insreuctions are simple to update to new version you must download the latest version from phpmyfaq then inside the new folder you have on your desktop of the new installation files you must delete these files

•the file data.php in the directory inc/
•all files in the template/ directory
•the directory attachments/
•the directory data/
•the directory images/

then upload the remainging files to your server then go to example.com/faq/install/update.php

Cheers,

Jason

Hi,

images brauchst du beim Update von 2.6.x Versionen nicht kopieren, einfach deine Bilder so lassen. Ich glaube, die Doku ist da missverständlich.

[updating 2.6.4 to 2.6.17]

Thank you - with these instructions I've made an update for cowards.

CLI on the server:

The 2.6.4 installation has the directory name phpmyfaq-2.6.4 and is symlinked to FAQ.
I've unzipped 2.6.17 to phpmyfaq-2.6.17,
then copied with the "midnight commander" (option "update") 2.6.4 to 2.6.17,

chmod -R og-w phpmyfaq-2.6.17

Redirect the Symlink FAQ to phpmyfaq-2.6.17

Via Browser: URL "http:/path/to/FAQ/install/setup"
and always confirm with "enter"

CLI: rename or delete .../install/setup.php and .../install/update.php

That's all!

Thank you (and thanks to Thorsten too)!
Viele Grüsse
Helmut
