Re: IE8 and 9 not displaying correctly
Hi,
did you changed the installation host from e.g. localhost to something different?

Re: IE8 and 9 not displaying correctly
i have found the cause of the problem
I have added an include of my header.html from the root dir in to index.php, if i remove this the pages display correctly, im not sure if its the header.html being in the root or the fact that it calls for a css file in root/css/ thats the issue at the moment so im going to try moving the css in to the header.html itself to see if it resolves the issue

Re: IE8 and 9 not displaying correctly
it also causes the captcha not to work

i added my header and css code directly in to index.tpl, and everything now works perfectly
