No Catagories Found problem.

Post by twoflower2 »

v. 2.8.5

phpMyFAQ is installed on a server. I add catagories and FAQs. When I get back to our FAQ later it states - No Catagories found-. Then I login as admin, look at dashboard, contents, statistic, go to home page, I can see the tags. Click on those and it goes to the FAQ and then the catagories are back. How strange. I did nothing elase that to look at a tag, which was the only content visible, now all content is visible.

Maybe it goes into some kinda sleep mode, aka disconnect from db..and wake up when you click on a tag. But this can't be becasue the users are always visible.

What is going on, please help.

Is this what you want?

Hi,

looks like broken data in your DB and a broken installation as your icons are broken, too

I need a database dump to do a deeper check.

Hi,

I now installed 2.8.8 and still see the same problem in FF 28.0. I tried Chrome and whala all is working (also IE). Why is there this problem in FF? Do you need some support info?

Yes it sort of works better in Chrome and IE. FF definitly not.

And the icon problem that you saw when I'm logged in as admin is still there in all browsers.

Hi,

the FF issue doesn't make any sense for me as I cannot reproduce it.

The icon issue is caused by blocked/unreadable webfonts.

Hi,

Yes it makes little sence to me too. Will browsing though a database dump help you?

The icon issue is also strange because my FF and Chrome are obviously independend with independend settings, but this problem appears in both browsers.
