Hello!
I am very new to phpMyFAQ, and are in the process of understanding how to use it.
Could someone explain how the process of adding a FAQ entry works?
From my understanding a FAQ entry is not shown by default, and needs to be set to 'Active' in the Administration section.
However this does not seem to make the entry visible anywhere, and when searching for the entry using 'Instant Response' i can see the entry but get "Access denied." when trying to read it.
My permissions for the category is set to allow all users.
My permissions for the FAQ is set to access for all users.
I am using phpMyFAQ 2.8.8, on CentOS 6.4 x64 with apache 0.91 and PHP 5.3.3
I can successfully add questions, news, users and comments.
If someone could point me to any further documentation than the 'official' documentation for what the process flow to add a faq entry is?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Olof

Re: all FAQ entries 'access denied'
To clarify my issue, I can see that the FAQ entries are in place, please see attached picture. I have all the 13 FAQ entries set to 'Active'.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Hi,
there's a minor bug then using the basic permission level, you can switch to medium permission level or use this fix https://github.com/thorsten/phpMyFAQ/co ... dd8d0f4fcb
phpMyFAQ 2.8.9 is in the works with that patch.
bye

Re: all FAQ entries 'access denied'
Hello Thorsten,
Many thanks for your quick reply. I was previously using the default Permission level of 'basic'. Switching to 'medium' makes some entries show up.
[edit] It seems that by editing, and then saving an FAQ entry again following the permission level change the entry appears.
Cheers,
Olof
