Error 500 before setup.

I was following (to the best of my abilities) all instructions for installing PHPMyFAQ and then entered http://azsystems.net/faq/setup/index.php in the browser.
Got an error:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

No error appears in error_log. I have the directories: faq and setup set to permissions 777. Do I need 777 applied globally to every file in faq?

You can try to enable the debug mode in inc/Bootstrap.php
