Changed email in admin now ask questions don't get sent

Hi,
Initially the ask question section worked fine and an email would be sent to the admin email address. After testing I changed it to the client's own email so they can get the questions, and now the emails are not going through! I double-checked the spelling/typing of their email address in the admin / setup section and it is correct. The ask questions are going to the "unanswered questions" section but they are just not getting notification.

Any idea why this would be happening?
