Ask a Question and Add a FAQ emails

I assumed the system would email the user listed as the owner of a category when a question is asked in that category. The only email being generated (that I'm receiving) is the one to the admin. It also does not email the owner when a new faq is added.

this isn't implemented, but it's planned for a future version.

Hi,

is this feature already implemented? Whenever I create an "Ask question" or "Add FAQ" entry, the faq admin receives the email, but not the category admin.
I am using 2.6.14

thanks for you quick reply but this raises 2 other questions:

1. What does the changelog entry in 2.6.14 mean: "fixed issue with sending mails to category administrators"
2. What is the general need of category administrators? From my point of view they're responsible for a category and therefore they're responsible for questions and proposed entries in their categories as well.

we fixed an issue in 2.6.14 that phpMyFAQ didn't send any e-mails to category adminisatrators.

2. What is the general need of category administrators? From my point of view they're responsible for a category and therefore they're responsible for questions and proposed entries in their categories as well.

you're right, that was the idea when we added category admins.

Could you maybe explain to me how to implement this feature by code ?

I would just need the name of the category or the owner etc. in the sender field of the generated mail.
