Captcha not catching user input.

Hey guys,

I've set up a default installation and have had no issues except that Captcha is not catching any kind of user input (Registration, Submissions, etc).

Entering username, email, name, etc all work and the captcha image shows up but upon form submission, receive the following:

Code: Select all

Please enter the captcha code

Is there a fix for this? I have not been able to find any information regarding this in the forums.

Are you using version 2.7.4 if you are their shouldnt be a problem with the captcha.

Yes, this is the version I am using.

Downloaded / installed via wget/tar -zxvf <file> and running the installer in the browser.

I haven't made any configuration changes besides adding a user manually. Anything involving captcha does not work and returns the above error.

Does this only happen on the register page or does it also happen on the contact us page, add question, add FAQ on the frontend

Hi,

the captcha code are 6 characters, I only see 5 in your version. Also, the font is wrong, I think the freetype library is missing in your PHP version.
