Improve usability for Ask Question feature

Post by brucepainter »

Scenario:
I want to submit a question, so I use the "Ask Question" feature
I spend a fair amount of time wording my question just right and am ready to submit.
I type in the captcha code, or at least what I think it is and click the submit button
Oops, I am told that the captcha code I typed in was incorrect, so I click the "one page back" link
I am returned to the "Ask Question" page, however, my question is now gone.

Is there a way to somehow save the question so the user doesn't have to type it in again?

Having this ability would be a huge usability improvement, and it would keep the users from getting frustrated and leaving the site without asking their question.
