[Suggestion] Editor : toggle background image button on record editing mode
.
Dear Thorsten
Note
We know that it is possible to remove the record’s background (FAQ site layout image) in editing mode.
However, we believe that this suggestion may be useful for some users.
We receive frequent complaints from our users about the difficulty, in edit mode, to read the firsts lines of text in the answer area - over the background image[1].
Some insert blank paragraphs before typing the FAQ’s text – and they know that the image wont be displayed in the published record.
The presence of the background image helps an user to identify the FAQ site where the record is being edited but, as refered above, not all want this feature – that was not present on some phpMyFAQ's older versions.
So, there are two major alternatives
- An on/off site-wide visibility option of the background image - on the administration configuration.
- The presence of that button in the record editing mode near the answer area (perhaps the preferable one).
Thus, in this case the user could choose when (and if) he/she wants to view the FAQ site’s background image in the answer editing area.
[1] In our case it isn’t a major problem:

but other layouts may render the text unreadable while being edited.
Kind regards
