Hi

as you might know, thorsten is a very busy person and will reply when he has time.......

as for your problem i am not quite sure what is causing this because i am not experiencing this issue

Does this only occure when you try to view or edit catgories

Let me suggest something to see if this helps, try changing your language to english and then let me know if your issue still persists

also have you added any custom configuration ?

I had the same issue, but I noticed that on a clean install before any changes were made, the registration emails worked fine. After some troubleshooting, I found that under "Main Configuration" if "Description of the page", "Name of the publisher" or "Email address of the admin" were left blank, then the Email for new user registration stops working.
