Installation Problem

Post by t0ta11ed » Fri Mar 11, 2016 9:30 pm

I've followed ALL of the directions, and have tried everything possible but I can't seem to get past the error:

The following directories could not be created or are not writable:

/attachments
/config
/data
/images

Please create them manually and/or change access to chmod 775 (or greater if necessary).

I created the files, made sure the owner on everything was Apache, and even went as far as setting the entire directory to 777 recursively. The same error still comes up. Could someone point out what I'm missing here? Thanks!

This turned out to be SELinux. Might want to update documentation.

I have tried everything (I think) to create directories, but I still get the "The following directories could not be created or are not writable".
I use Ubuntu and Selinux is not installed.
I have phpmyfaq in /var/www/html/myfaq but as I have tried everything I am in doubt on where the directories actually should be created.

You have to create the remaining folders yourself. It is enough to do this.

It should not be enough. Please let me know your server configuration and possibly also a link to your FAQ.
