Unable to access from outside

Hi everybody,
Here's a question from a real green guy regarding phpMyFAQ. So please laugh very loud if the question is a really dumb one, but I hope you also get some breath then to show me some kind of solution
I've installed phpMyFAQ on a LAMP server, and everything runs fine from within the LAN. Everything nice and smooth. But as soon as I try to access from the scare big world outside, trouble starts. The login page appears after a long delay and without any graphical elements. After login I'm redirected to the IP address the LAMP server has in the LAN (so to an internal address).
So somewhere a redirect to the internal address is hidden, but I can't figure out where it is. I've searched already all files in the 'config' director, and I've searched in the 'faqconfig' database. But I can't find any reference to the local IP address nor 'localhost'.
What's going wrong here...? I hope someone can shine some light on this...
