DB username being truncated?

I am trying to install the latest stable version but keep getting the following error message

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'sreeli1'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in /home/sreeli1/public_html/faq/inc/PMF_DB/Mysql.php on line 67

The connection to the database server could not be established.

The error message of the database server:

my user is actually sreeli1_faq. It appears from the messages that the _faq is getting truncated.

PHP version 5.2.6
MySQL version 5.0.51a-community

Any suggestions?

please try version 2.0.12. This should be fixed in this version.
