Post by camilo.mendez »

Congratulations for this great software. It has been very helpful to us.

Functionality that we need much, is that only the records that are assigned to a group can be viewed and edited in the mode of administration by the members of the group. Currently this only applies to the records search mode, ie when one enters with http://mypage/faq/ but not when entering http://mypage/faq/admin/.

Sorry for my basic English, I'm using Google to translate.

No, the group permissions are only good for the search mode, but not the mode of administration.

Example: I have the X, Y and Z groups and I have multiple users assigned to the X group. The X group have permission to edit and add records. Now I have the A, B and C records, where only the A record is given permissions to X group. If a user assigned to group X, it enters from http://mypage/faq/ can display only the A record. But if the same user logs on http://mypage/faq/admin/ can view all records (A, B and C) by clicking where it says edit FAQs.

It is possible that when the user click on edit FAQs, only to show the FAQs that are assigned to the group that owns the user?

Thank you.

Hi,

this should work by giving the group editing permissions... did you tried that?

Hi,

The option that tells me is where I define that group members have permission to add and edit records. I am attaching a picture of how I have configured a group.

This option is what you mean?

This is the right I gave my authors. With this set of right it works for us. Maybe one is missing for you.

As you will see, I just had to add record delete options, delete and edit user comment, but still does not work.

The images attached show the following:

FAQ1 image displayed when the "pruebas" user enters (only shows the categories "Informacion publica" and "Grupo Intel"), then the image when the same user FAQ2 switches to admin mode (shows all categories), and finally the image Faq3 shows the permissions of the group and its members.

The functionality that I propose is that in the admin mode to display only the categories "Informacion publica" and "Grupo Intel" for users who are members of the Intel group.

Is this possible?
