Hierarchical searching

When using the standard or advanced search it seems the search executes against the currently selected category only, is it possible to make the search execute against the current category and any child categories as well, this would make it easier for users who don't necessarily know the exact category where an FAQ may reside.
Forgive me if this is already a feature but I cannot figure out how to enable it if it is.

this will be implemented in phpMyFAQ 2.8, currently in development, this feature is already done.
