Hey,

ive installed phpmyFaq today. Very nice script.

But if a user clicks on "lost password" there is no password sent to emailadress.
When i register, the same problem exists.

There is no error message.
What could be the reason?

Hi,

this depends on your PHP and mail server configuration. If our fix works, it'll work always.

If you are using the Beta Version we have released a fix for the email...... but if you are using 2.6 and are having email issues we have not released a fix for that yet....
also in beta version we are working on a fix for Registration...

I updated to betaversion.
In the betaversion it isn't possible to click a button.
Look there http://zap-hosting.com/faq/?action=register

I was able to click the button just fine... i tested your site out in internet explorer 9 and firefox 5 also safari, google chrome and opera all let me click it, the only thing that is not going to work is the acual registering because we have not fixed that issue.....

But if you would like to fix your email then this will work just copy and paste the 2 files into yours https://github.com/thorsten/phpMyFAQ/co ... 4460ddf289

But the Beta is just that , its in testing right now, and it is not meant to replace your exisiting phpmyfaq stable version....

We are improving a lot and will become more usable in the next few releases.....

Cheers,

Jason

thank you very much. The "stable" version isn't really stable, because there is no pissibility to create a useraccount as a guest (they get no e-mail).

I did what u said on these two files (sendmail.php ajaxservice.php).
But it still doesnt work. How can i download the changed files? Maybe I misscopied something.

But this does not fix the registration for users to register, we know they do not get an email this is part of the registration fix that we will release..... the email fix is strickly for if someone wants to click contact you.... then u will get an email the registration is seperate... sorry for the confuesion....
This will hopefully be fixed within beta 2 version
