Hi Thorsten,

OK, I guess I just haven't used it enough yet to figure out how to do that, but I guess I'll see if I can figure out how to do that.

Thanks,
ZP

Hi,

you can do this by cut&paste in the category administration.

Thorsten

Hi Thorsten,

Are you saying that i can do this without losing any of the FAQs in a category? In other words, I can move a sub-category to a different Main Category if I need to and not lose anything in the move? If ...

I know this is kind of an old thread so I don't know if this is in the works yet but, besides being able to order Categories to any position it would be nice if you could do the same thing with sub-categories, perhaps even move them into another category, or even make them a main category.

You ...

Move Category Bug in version 2.0.10

Hi All,

When trying to move a category, the category selected to move is actually the one above the one you selected. In other words, if your bottom 2 categories are "unknown" and "colonies", when you click to move the "colony" category it says "move category: Unknown".

In addition, if you click ...

Hi Thorsten,

Good to see you back.

OK, well, this would be a nice feature for sometime in the future.

Let me ask you another question. I am going to have like 5 or 6 registered users working on my FAQ. I haven't done enough ...

EMail Received When Question is Asked

I'm using version 2.0.10.

When someone, like a guest, asks a question on the FAQ front end, I, as Admin, receive an EMail with the question in it.

Is there any way for me to setup for other registered users or, preferably a whole group to also receive that EMail?

It looks like maybe I could add ...

Hi Thorsten,

After all the problems I had getting the script installed I finally, today managed to install version 2.0.10

It took me awhile to get everything right, and I'm still not certain that I have all the permissions set right, but at least I have a FAQ and and an Admin area.

I will play ...

Hi ernest,

Are you saying that you have never been able to get this installed either? If so, then that's not good for you, but it's good for me since it means I'm not the only person ...

UPDATE: Just in case anybody was wondering, this was caused by some sort of problem in my Firefox installation. A tech at FF told me how to solve it. If anybody else has this problem, you should be able to solve it by doing what it says to do at the following url ...

OK, well I guess I'll just have to wait until then. You're probably busy so I'd appreciate you replying here after you've had a chance to do that.

FWIW, I installed copied all the files and folders from the 2.0.9 distribution to another folder called root/www/faq1 and tried running the script again ...

OK, well, I just restarted my computer after installing the latest version of JRE and my version of Firefox (3.04, which is the latest version) will definitely not let me log in.

I'll just have to use IE when I want to ...

Having Trouble Logging into Forum

Hello All,

I can log in here with Internet Explorer 7 to post messages, but I recently installed Firefox 3.04 and have been using it a lot more than IE lately.

I can't seem to log into the Forum here using Firefox. I can view the Forum messages, but since I can't log in it won't let me reply to ...

OK, well, I can try this, but is there a document somewhere on how to do a manual install. You mentioned doing a manual install a couple of messages up.

Thanks,

While I am waiting an answer from Thorsten about how to do a manual install in my message earlier, I thought I would mention something else and a request.

In the docs, it says that a file and 5 directories shown below should have permissions set to 777. Because of the problems I have been having ...

Hi,

your problems are really strange. What you can do is trying an "manual" install. If you like I could provide you some help with that.

Thorsten
