register_globals

hi
I'm installing oscommerce for a client and would also like to use the FAQ.
One must have register_globals (oscommerce) and FAQ recommends to keep it turned off.
Any solution?

thanks, all the rest seems to work great, always a permissions issue when i work with windows servers, but just takes a little fiddling and is a windows issue not your app. by the way, in my most recent use of your FAQ, I deleted the search tab from the top nav to save space, since it will still be...

lang in 1.3.14

I've had to add:
else {
$lang = "";
}
to the index page, as it was listing an undefined variable.
is this normal?

yes. that's why the data will show, but unfortunately I get all those notifications on top of the data.
