Hi,

It's solved ! Firsttime i placed the config entry in httpd.conf, did not work.

Now I've placed the StackThread entry in apache\conf\extra\httpd-mpm.conf

restart Apache and highlighting is also working again.

I talked to the Microsoft PHP guy and he said that's an Apache Stack Size problem, it solved the same issue for another user: http://forum.phpmyfaq.de/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=16359#p43694

Did you restart Apache after changing the value?

Restarted apache after de change ...

Increas the Apche Stack, same crash.
I disabled the $highlight function in artikel.php line 89 to prevent crashing when search with more then 3 characters.
This is a good workaround for now. I hope you'll find out the problem.

I've the same problem. phpMyFAQ 2.8.7 with newest Xampp.
The problem occurs when the search-string is longer than 3 characters en then visit the article in the search results.

Example:

index.php?action=artikel&cat=49&id=11&artlang=nl&highlight=abc works fine!
index.php?action ...
