Re: phpMyFAQ or MediaWiki

TLDR; Overall, it's a really good (and pretty) application with potential, but some quirks that may keep it from being the application of choice. I chose to work with phpMyFAQ for it's modern looking interface. From a couple demo's I've shown, the ability to ask questions and have them turned into K...

3.2.0 Release Date?

I noticed over on Github that your 3.2.0 alpha project is mostly complete, any idea when you're going to release it to the masses?

Re: Auto-Insert On New FAQs

I could see value in being able to have "personal" templates, but I imagine that requires a much larger effort for implementation. I think templates could be fleshed out to: Universal: Available to all, including guest Corporate: Available to authenticated users Group: Available to users i...

Re: Auto-Insert On New FAQs

I'd like to request that as a feature. I could see where non-admin users would find certain templates useful. Personally, I like entering new FAQs from the front end page just because it's quicker/easier to get to.

Re: Auto-Insert On New FAQs

Also, I replaced my footer.php with the latest version that implements the changes you've made and I can see my custom template in Add New FAQ on the administration side (YAY!). However, if I am in the non-admin section of phpMyFAQ and click on Add New FAQ>Insert>Template, it tells me "No templ...

Re: Auto-Insert On New FAQs

Question, if I am using URL to point to a file, what's the source path that it starts looking at?

Re: Auto-Insert On New FAQs

I don't see anything in the documentation on how to do anything with that. Do I implement a template in javascript like the example you linked? Where would I put that file?

Re: Permission Application

did you change the permission on the category and the category already had FAQs?
That is correct. FAQs were already present when I changed permissions on the category.

Re: Permission Application

I've run through lots of applications that don't make sense, lol. However, the scenario I spelled out does not work completely. When I set permissions on the category to be restricted to the admin group, Bob (member of general) can still access the FAQs. If I go in and edit the FAQ, it shows that it...

Auto-Insert On New FAQs

Is it possible to have information automatically inserted on new FAQs? For example, I click on 'Add New FAQ' and then in the answer box, the below is automatically inserted into the 'Your Answer' box.

Code: Select all

Re: Permission Application

Additional information: After I configure a restriction on a category and then edit an FAQ under that category, it is set with the restrictions that were applied to the category. However, that change in permissions doesn't take effect until I save the individual FAQ.

What Are These Icons?

Under 'Edit FAQ', there are the below icons for each FAQ that don't appear to do anything when you click on them. What are they for, what do they do?
