after merging and uploading PMF 165 and running the update script like
http://url_to_faq/install/update.php
.. only a blank screen appears! The file is there and CHMOD is 777 .. installer.php loads OK in the browser - but it is not the one I need!
Same thing in IE, Firefox and Opera.
Any idea?

Thorsten!
On your behalf I am happy to hear that! But it does not help me! I create an entry with header: 'test' body 'tæst' the 'Active?' radio-button is left as 'no' when I save. Now I do not want to expose to the World that I cannot spell neither 'tæst' nor 'Tårsten' :P and before making it active I wan...

non-approved item not editable.
It seems that it is not possible to edit an entry that has not yet been approved!
Will I have to display in public what I do not want to display before I can edit? Did I miss something?

hmmm ..
looks like I am wrong here. There is only one revision number available in the database, I see! Probably that was some old 'beta-stuff' that was in my head. I think I had a version installed at a point of time where there were two revision fields: a 'major' and a 'minor' revision number like 'x.a' o...

The revision control system introduced around version 1.6.0 is only 'half-complete'. The database is prepared for a two-digit version number. However the administrative backend only lets you manage the last of the two!

SuSE
Now SuSe users do not know about 'flags'. They click the RPM once with their left mouse button, and KDE asks if it shall be installed by YaST, and they click 'yes'the rpm -ivh needs the use of the --nodeps flag

a strange experience
Some weeks ago we had some content added to our FAQ by a user/visitor. The message started like 'this is a message in Malayam UTF8 encoding' and continued with 4 byte unicode/utf8 characters. I mailed this guy and asked him if he could explain a little about the meaning of it in English. He never re...

I do not think you realize how ignorant I am on this! But thanks for the extensive answer anyway. "Building an phpMyFAQ RPM is quite easy ..." Playing music in 13/16 is easy too. Once you know how to do it it easy. If you do not know it is impossible! Now once I get repacked the archive I ...
