Internetexplorer 9 shows white page

Hi,
I've the problem that the website http://www.phpmyfaq.de and the faq on my website doesn't work with IE9
The problem is on win7 pro and IE9. In all other browsers (IE7, IE8, Firefox, Safari...) the faq works fine.
the ie9 show an error that the site must be opend in the compatibility mode and shows white page.
Please help

phpmyfaq.de works for me perfectly on IE9 in standards mode on Win 7. Cannot reproduce your issue.

I suppose you have set the compatiblity view. To fix it:

• - Press "ALT"key to show the menu bar.
  - Unselect" compatibily view
  - Check also the compatibilty view settings disable last option "all sites" (sorry my IE9 is in english)

If I enable it, the warning appear, and the layout is brocken. The page it is not white. But maybe this help you.

I can view the phpMyFAQ pages using Chrome but using IE 9 it show garbage.

What settings need to be changed in IE? I have tried compatibility mode but this did not help.

Hi,

please try to enable the debug mode in inc/Init.php and try it again. Maybe the page compression causes some issues.

With Debug set to "true" I can navigate and see the pages with the debug info shown at the bottom of the page.

please talk to your webhosting provider, it looks like the gzip compression is broken.

Thanks, I have already contacted them and they have pointed the finger back at phpMyFAQ.

Is there something I can "turn on" or "off" in the php ini file?

Unfortunately it now looks like I will have to drop the use of phpMyFAQ and look elsewhere.
