Hi,
We recently updated our website and our developer configured it so that all pages are forced to https. As a result, our phpMyFAQ pages on the client side will no longer display, and our admin won't work either. The Admin login page will load without css, however logging in is unsuccessful.
I found this topic which sounds exactly like what I'm experiencing:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16327
However, I'm not sure what version of phpMyFAQ we're currently using, and I don't really have the expertise to go messing with code. Is there anyone there that can help me suss out which files would need code added/replaced, or would anyone be willing to help me configure this for a small fee?
Thanks Much,
Jim

Re: Force to HTTPS
Hi,
you can switch on HTTPS in recent versions of of phpMyFAQ, you can change the database entry directly. Change the URL in "main.referenceURL" in the table "faqconfig". After the successful login, you can force in the admin configuration section for security even more HTTPS.

Re: Force to HTTPS
Thank you for the reply, Thorsten.
Our phpMyFAQ is on version 2.8.24. Is that a recent enough version to support this suggestion? If not, would we be able to pay you a fee to update our scripts so that we can apply this change to the database?
Many thanks,
Jim

Re: Force to HTTPS
Hi Jim,
an update to the latest 2.9 version should be easy, but I can do that.
