Allow frontend user to upload images/pdfs?

Allow frontend user to upload images/pdfs?
I might be missing documentation or configuration but I can't figure it out.
Why can't I upload attachments being a user on front-end, but I can as admin?
Is there a way to allow frontend user to upload? To be clear, I see the "Insert" area, I also see image, but it asks for a source without browse button. In admin there is a browse button so I can search on computer.
Thanks.

Hi,
a user can upload an image if you select to use the WYSIWYG editor in the frontend.

Re: Allow frontend user to upload images/pdfs?
Hello Thorsten,
Thanks for responding.
I'm pretty sure I have that configuration set. I've attached a combined screenshot of settings to this comment.
Can you tell me if these are the correct settings, or if I'm missing something? nomediaupload.png shows the media upload but all I see is source where I can put a URL, no actual upload option
Thanks again.
Edit: I blurred out the template part, because it contained company information.

Re: Allow frontend user to upload images/pdfs?
Hi,
I checked the code, the image upload is missing in the frontend. Sorry.
Pasting images should work, if that's enough.

Re: Allow frontend user to upload images/pdfs?
Hi Thorsten,
Sadly that's not enough, we need front-end users to be able to upload.
Any way we can fix this on our environment?
Thanks again for looking.

Re: Allow frontend user to upload images/pdfs?
Hi,
phpMyFAQ 2.9 won't get any feature updates anymore, so please upgrade to 3.0 (and later 3.1)
