Hello,
I updated phpmyfaq to version 3.2.9 and we noticed an abnormal behavior. When we create a FAQ, an attachment is added randomly without our intervention. We've also noticed that FAQs are published directly to the public, whereas by default they should be unpublished.
Is this a known problem with version 3.2.9? And how can we fix it?
Best regards,
Virgile.

Re: Random attachment added when creating an FAQ (3.2.9) + Public FAQ by default
Hi,
where do you add these FAQs? If it's in the public frontend, you can forbid this in the main configuration. In the admin backend the author is self-responsible for setting the right option to publish a FAQ directly.
Can you describe the behaviour with attachments a little bit more detailed?
Thanks in advance!
bye

Hi,
To publish an FAQ, the user uses the add FAQ tab on the web user interface :
Previously, the FAQ was not published directly when added via this web interface.
For attachments, when an FAQ is created on this same interface, an attachment is attached to the FAQ, whereas there is no field for inserting an attachment on the user interface:
Bye,
Virgile.

Hi,
how does your configuration for "auto publishing" look like?
For the random attachment: is it always the same?

Hi,
What do you mean by “auto publishing” configuration? In version 3.2.3, when creating a new FAQ, an administrator had to go to the admin console to publish the FAQ. Now it's automatically published to the public, even though we're using the same settings as in version 3.2.3.
No, it takes a file from the list on the server.
bye,
Virgile

Hi,
you find this configuration under Admin -> Configuration -> FAQs:
Is it somehow checked in your installation?
I'll check the code again for the attachments, that's weird.

Hi,
I've just updated to 3.2.10 and it solved both problems (attachments and automatic public publishing).
The option you specify is not checked in our configuration.
Bye,
