Hello everyone, I just wanted to say hi and tell you that I love this for the most part and I had previously installed version 2.0.12 and until recently I hadn't thought about upgrading it but some issues were noticed and I figured the new updated version will probably fix it so to give it a shot and then ask if it still exists but right off the bat, got a problem.
I have done everything mentioned in the upgrade instructions and when I run the /update.php it produces this error (the server path has been omitted for personal reasons):
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '(', expecting '}' in /dev/myfaq/install/update.php on line 175
and I have taken a look at the code to see if there is perhaps a syntax error and I can't see anything, so I am not sure the reason for this error but any help or solution would be greatly appreciated, I am looking forward to giving this baby a new run and see how she looks. Thanks again in advance and I look forward to hearing from you.
FYI: since the error points to the line for checking template folder/file permissions, I manually set them to 777 to make sure that's not the issue and the error persists, thanks.

Hi,
you can use the old 2.0.17 version, available under http://www.phpmyfaq.de/download.php?do= ... 7&ext=.zip
Please note that we don't support PHP 4 and phpMyFAQ 2.0 anymore.

I understand, it would be a temporary solution until I can get them to update the server, I appreciate the heads up and the assistance.
