Search from home page just takes you to another search page

When I enter a search term from the main home page and click enter, it just takes me to another search page with no results displayed. Here are the repro steps:

1. On the home page, in the top search text box, enter a term, and click Enter.
--It takes you to the Instant Response page, with the term not in the search field, and no results displayed

EXPECTED RESULT
--Should show results for the term you entered on the main page

SETUP:
Firefox 8, IE9
phpMyFAQ v2.7.1
php version: PHP 5.2.11
MYSQL Version: 5.0.51a

If you turn off instant response on the main page and just use the other search were you have to click the button does anything come up that way or is both ways doing the same thing
