"Version check failure" when loading a backup to new server

Post by Adrian »

Hi,

I'm trying to move phpMyFAQ to a new server. The current installation is using 3.0.9. On the new one I've started with a fresh installation of the latest release. When I try to read back the backup the following message occures:
This file is not a verified backup file.
Dies scheint keine Sicherungsdatei von phpMyFAQ zu sein. (Version check failure: "-- pmf3.0" found, "-- pmf3.2" expected)
What can I do to keep my Data on the new system?

regards

Hi,

you can't import a 3.0 backup into an 3.2 installation. The way to go: install 3.0, import the backup and then upgrade directly to 3.2.

Hello Thorsten,

Thanks for your support. I've installed the same version from which the backup originates. Now the backup stucks at another point.
Executing DB queries ...
This step takes forever. Is there some log where I can find more information?

What I already did: The old and new server have different URLs, so I've replaced that piece of information in the SQL export with a text editor.
The database contains some information of my backup. But table faquser is still empty. In a new tab, I can't login. What can I do? Can you pleas help me again?

Hi,

the import can take some time depending on how big your database is.
