[Doubt] Using PostgreSQL 9.x with phpMyFAQ

Dear All

We had a functional phpMyFAQ powered site using PostgreSQL 8.4.

After the installation of PostgreSQL's 9.x version (maintaining the 8.4 one) it stop working.

PostgreSQL's 9.x series allows the presence of simultaneous different working versions.

Has anyone faced the same problem? If so, what steps are needed to use the PostgreSQL 9.x versions and/or the 8.4?

At this time, our site is hosted in a server administrated by another department, but we would like to transmit them the necessary procedures.

Thanks in advance.

PS. Thorsten Rinne / Development Team: please keep the PostgreSQL support in phpMyFAQ.
..
Kind regards

Hi,

sure, we want to support PostgreSQL 9 as well! Please enable the debug mode in inc/Init.php and send us the error messages. Also where should be an error log for PostgreSQL as well.

bye

Thanks for supporting PostgreSQL (and for your quick answer).

There is a problem: that server is no longer administrated by us – another sub-department is hosting it - using MySQL.

Personal note from this post "author"
I may try to replicate the situation but it isn't simple – and at this time there is a lot of work to close before the end of the year -, so I can't assure that it will be done and/or the time it will take to do.

Kind regards
