[2.8.2] Bootswatch using Bootstrap 2.3.2 (2 Themes)

Hi All!

Thought I would share a couple of themes for 2.8.

I have modified the default phpMyFAQ 2.8 theme using the styles from Bootswatch http://bootswatch.com.

This is for the front end only, same backend design.

Themes

Spacelab http://bootswatch.com/2/spacelab/
"Silvery and sleek"

spacelab-v1.zip

Amelia http://bootswatch.com/2/amelia/
"Sweet and cheery"

amelia-v1.zip

Installation

Extract the folder from the zip to phpmyfaq\assets\template\.

Go to Administration -> Configuration -> Main Configuration.

Change Template set to be used to spacelab.

Save Configuration.

Sweet, glad you like it adlena.

Bootswatch styles are pretty similar so shouldn't take much to do another one. Any suggestions for one of the other bootswatch themes to be done?

Hi,

sure, if you have time for that, it would be awesome. It was my hope it's easy to write new themes for phpMyFAQ when I selected Bootstrap as main framework. If you want to add some howto, it would be awesome.

Yeah Bootstrap is a good choice. Added a colourful theme, something a bit different.

Hi,

i installed amelia and spacelab, but after installing the theme, i have the loginscreen i attached.
If i switch back to default everything is fine.

What did I wrong? And sorry if the question is stupid.... I am a beginner.

If you clear your browser cache and open the page again does it work?

Yes its just the login screen. The same for Spacelab or Amelia

I tried a clean install, but still the same.

Also if Password forgotten? is clicked i get this message

Error: Cannot open the file assets/template/spacelab/indexPassword.tpl.

Thanks for the message, what version of phpMyFAQ are you running?

I just downloaded 2.8.4 and it appears that indexPassword.tpl is a new file that did not exist in 2.8.2.

I will have a look to see how much has changed, I will need to update the template.

this file was forgotten in the releases 2.8-0 -> 2.8.2 and was added with 2.8.3, sorry for that
