WYSIWYG editor some times missing

Post by BSOD2600 »

Image

I've noticed some times the WYSIWYG editor is missing when using Firefox. When it appears like this, it assumes TEXT mode. you keep saying it's a extension I'm using, but I don't have any of these problems on any other forum/website I've encountered. The only extension that could be doing it would be Adblock plus... but I can see it hasn't blocked anything. Nor would that explain why some times it (phpmyfaq) breaks and other times it works fine. Sounds like buggy software to me.

When this happens, what debug info do you need to help resolve this problem?

I noticed this also, and I just DL'ed phpMyFAQ and installed it. It is version 1.5.4. I took all my FAQs from the FAQ module I had been using and copied them to phpMyFAQ. I had this problem about a half dozen times with the entering of about 90 FAQs. So it is not an everytime problem, but an intermittant problem.

Thanks, I'm sure you'll find it.

BTW, I am using Avant (an I.E. hybred) as my browser. But I can't believe it is the browser causing the problem as the source is running on a Linux server.

Hi,

I think it's a load problem that the javascript source isn't fully loaded...

Hi at all,

I have the same problem. The editor isn´t there.

FF -> V1.51
phpMyFAQ -> V1.56 fresh installation out of the box.

Error Java-Script-Konsole:

Code: Select all

Fehler: Unbekannte Eigenschaft 'filter'. Deklaration ignoriert.
Quelldatei: http://www.mydomain.nix/faq/admin/editor/htmlarea.css
Zeile: 45
--------------
Fehler: Farbe erwartet, aber 'FieldFace' gefunden. Fehler beim Verarbeiten des Wertes für Eigenschaft 'background'. Deklaration ignoriert.
Quelldatei: http://www.mydomain.nix/faq/admin/editor/htmlarea.css
Zeile: 65
-------------
Fehler: uncaught exception: Die Erlaubnis für das Setzen der Eigenschaft HTMLDocument.title wurde verweigert
I´m little bit confused of this. There we have an FF searchplugin at backend. But we can´t edit article using html???
