Problems with linebreaks

Post by jazcyk »

please have a look at the latest news in www.webyog.com/faq!

If it displays OK then try to make the browser window narrow'er.

In the latest NEWS-post added you will see lines that do not break properly. It is reproducable in every browser (but not exactly the same), and only this latest post is affected.

I have tried using the GUI editor as well as entering HTML directly into the database as well (experimenting with different tags that create visual linebreaks).

I never experienced this before and (might be a coincidence) affects only this entry that was created after upgrade to 2.0.4.

currently HTML is like

Code: Select all

The upgrade of the FAQ system from version 2.0.2 to 2.0.4 is a routine upgrade only.
<br><br>
User should not experience any difference.
<br><br>
However as 'promised' when we upgraded last time, we have 'cleaned up' in comments.
<br>And this time more 'in depth' than last time!
<br><br>
Deleted were:
<br>
1) Comments and questions that should have been posted to our Forums instead.
<br>
2) comments that are now irrrelevant because it referred to functionalities that have been changed or issues that have been fixed (in SQLyog or in MySQL) in between.
<br><br>
Let me repeat, that if you want to add content to this FAQ it should be content that helps other users (and that may of course include help to understand limitations with the program as well as pointing to mistakes and inaccuracies in the FAQ). If you want to ask questions, complain (or only to contact us) use the Forums or the Support Ticket system.
<br>

By experimenting I found something that will work reasonable with common screen resolutions .. but this kind of problems makes a simple update a 1-2 hour job! Not sustainable!

What is the problem here?
