no e-mail notification

Since installing 1.3.7-dev I do not receive e-mail notifications when a new Question is added.

Does anyone else have this problem? How can I fix it?

i`ll tried with 1.3.7 dev a minute ago and it works getting notifications hm, i think the script is ok with that so there must be something wrong with your settings or server-side..?

I found the problem.

All the settings on the Edit Configuration Page were reset to their defaults

e.g.
Title of the FAQ = phpMyFAQ
Describtion of the Page = Die phpMyFAQ soll allen Kunden die hÃ¤ufig gestellten Fragen beantworten
Name of the Publisher = John Doe
Emailadress of the Admin = webmaster@domain.com

Do I have to reset these values each time I upgrade?

How did these values change?

Hi Andrew,

when upgrading, do not overwrite your configuration file.

I have the config file set to use my correct email account, but nother transmits. Could you please tell me how this email client works, where is the configuration for the smtp server that it uses, or where the log file is where it shows error on this particular aspect

Hi,

you have to edit the php.ini file. Please take a look into the PHP documentation for the configuration on a Windows machine and PHP mail function.
