Hallo!

@Jörg Peter

-) Authentifizierung / Single-Sign-On

Gruss, Tony

e-mail and enabling faq/open_questions

Post by Torsten02 »

Hi,

we are a small institute looking for something like phpMyFAQ. We tested 2.0.6 and are quite impressed 8)

But what would really help us, would be the possibility to send an email to a member of our group, when posting a new open_question! So that he or she knows, that there is an new open_question for him/her.

Another nice new feature for us would be, if we could disable the "enabling_by_admin"-feature for new faq and answered questions. (or is there an easy way to hack this?)

Thanks a lot,
Torsten

Schedule for version 2.5?

Post by epicflupe »

Hi!

I guess this question has been asked many times before... :)

What´s the schedule for 2.5? I intend to use your product for a larger crowd and have to decide wether to wait unti 2.5 or go with the current version..

Can you give us your best "guess" about the release date/moth?

thanks! /Eric

Dabase error when adding contents phpMyFAQ 2.5

Post by sallokatallo »

Hello - please help!

I installed 2.5 on a system that's about to go into production in a week! (I know I am stupid... I made a backup only of the www/var directory - not the whole system... :( )

Everything (including editing of contents) is working great except:

Since upgrading to 2.5 (from 2.0.15):

When adding a user:
Specified login could not be found.

Whenever adding a Group:
Databse Error!

And when adding an article, it says it's added successfully, but it doesn't show up!

It's at: http://faq.epikip.net/faq/

All updates on the Ubuntu machine are applied.

Anybody has any ideas?

Yes... the update script ran successfully. I have also previously updated the FAQ successfully TWICE - from 2.0.13 to 2.0.14 and then 2.0.14 to 2.0.15 - but this time I am having issues. Everything (including editing existing contents) is working except it's not letting me add new contents... :(

Hi,

could you please try to delete your brower's cache and cookies. I think the old javascript library is still in use in your browser.

Hey Thorsten.

Thanks for your help. I tried now from multiple browsers and multiple different computers - and now I tried after clearing cache - still with no luck.

Search and other new features are all working great (and look and feel is really cool as well)...

But still unable to add any type of content(s) :(

Thanks.

Hi,
sallokatallo wrote:But still unable to add any type of content(s) :(
so you cannot add any user, any new category, or any new FAQ entry?

That's right - it's not letting me add any type of content - but editing of contents works fine. I had tested this with articles, users, and categories.

Thanks.

Hi,

that's very very strange. Do you have full disk space? Or is something locked? Did you reached your quota? Could you check this with phpMyAdmin?

Thank you again - I will try that and let you know. Disk space/quota is definitely not an issue. I will post what results phpMyAdmin gives.
