Enable restricted access to multiple groups, rather than 1

Is there a way to enable restricted access to multiple groups, rather than just one? For example, I have a FAQ topic that I want 3 of my 5 departments to be able to view. Currently, I have to either allow all groups to see it, or just restrict to one group. I could create a group that includes the 3 I want the topic to appear for, but that makes group management really messy. Is there a way to enable multi-group restrictions?
