Creating FAQ Articles in the Frontend

Post by hds »

Hi,

is it possible (by changing an template or so) to create a new article directly in the frondend at the current opened category?

Our day by day usage of phpmyfaq is to look for an article most of the time in a specific category. If we thing the is a missing one we create a new one. But because we have created a very large ammount of categories it is very uncomfortable to navigate first to the admin area find the category an then add the article. It would be more easy (and thus conducive to write new articles to the stuff) if it would be possible to add an article directly in the frontoffice by clicking a link to the article editor. The current opened category should be already selected and you can just starting adding a new faq entry (assuming you are logged in and have the right account)!

Hi,

this should be possible very easily with the "add FAQ" link in the frontend. I'll check it.

Hi,
first of all, thank you for your quick support.

Is it possible to create a link to the admin editor: faq/admin/?action=editentry if the logged in user has the right to add/edit faq entries?
Or can the wysiwyg editor be enabled to the suggest new faq view? The default textarea is dommed small.

Our workourround is now, to add a faq dummy entry in the category and change it then by the edit link at the bottom of the page.
Which after all is much faster then the old method.

Hi,

there is already a link to the admin section in the tab "about this FAQ".

Hi,

hmm, sorry but in my installation (german) does the tab 'about this faq' only appears in the article view not in the section view. And it does not contain the link add article just edit article.

Hi,

Hi Thorsten,

ok in Deutsch wirds einfacher ;-)
