How to add custom menu (sub-entries)?

I read here (http://faq.phpmyfaq.de/content/15/9/en/ ... ework.html) how to add a custom page and include own PHP code. Now my question is how to add a few menu entries; for example a additional structure like:

[additional menu entry]
---->[submenu entry]
---->[submenu entry]
---->[submenu entry]

What's the best way to get this done?
