Main nav hides Add FAQ from un-registered users

Hi all,
I wanted to know how to hide 'Add FAQ' and 'Add Question' from un-registered users. Only when you log in do these appear in the nav.
I followed this article to do this, viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10431&p=30321&hilit ... faq#p30321

It sort of works. The problem i have is, the 'Add FAQ' appears in the orange box in the top right where what i want is that the 'Add FAQ' appears in the main nav.

Any help would be appreciated and im a newb when it comes to php coding so an example would be greatly appreciated.
