I have installed phphmyfaq 2.7 on my own linux machine and everything seems to be working properly.
I do have two questions though.
1.) When the page loads it automatically loads english. If I select another language ie german, it will load that translation. Then if I click on any link it will default back to english.
Is there a way to have it remember what I select and keep in the german(or other translation) until I switch it back via the drop down menu?
2.) When adding new faqs in the admin client I can select the language but when I do it switches the whole interface to that language.
For example, I want to input a Russian translation so I select Russian from the drop down menu and then and paste the translated faq. When I select Russian from the drop down menu and go to save it the entire interface is in Russian.
Is there a way to keep the admin in specific language(english) and allow me to create faqs for the other languages(russian, german, spanish, etc)?

Hi,

did you disabled the cookie support? We save the current selected language in a cookie.1.) When the page loads it automatically loads english. If I select another language ie german, it will load that translation. Then if I click on any link it will default back to english.
Is there a way to have it remember what I select and keep in the german(or other translation) until I switch it back via the drop down menu?
I'll check what's going wrong in this case.2.) When adding new faqs in the admin client I can select the language but when I do it switches the whole interface to that language.

Re: Translation switch problems
Not that I know of. I didn't do anything special during the install. I have been getting this behavior since the beginning after a fresh install of 2.7
Thanks for looking into this. I really love it except for those two things.

The user is already logged in the first application, with login and password, before using phpMyFAQ.

Just an update. I removed version 2.7.8 and installed 2.7.6 and the first problem no longer occurs.
This one is still occurring and I'd love to know if anyone has any ideas for a fix.mathesonian wrote: 1.) When the page loads it automatically loads english. If I select another language ie german, it will load that translation. Then if I click on any link it will default back to english.
