[v. 2.8.2] Category - pagination does not work on it's FAQs

Post by pt20100201 »

[ v. 2.8.2 / 2.8.3 ] Category - pagination doesn't work in it's FAQs list (and in other paginated layouts)
.
This post was initially placed at the end of [Solved]Pagination does not work correctly using mod_rewrite on "Webserver and configuration" forum.

The first post (by "Rokixz") has in it's title "[Solved]...", so it seems that our question wasn't read, thus we moved our post here (and upgraded the text a little).
Our apologies for the inconvenience.

The behavior remains after phpMyFAQ upgrade from version 2.8.2 to 8.2.3.

.
Dear "Rokixz", Thorsten Rinne and Development Team

1.
We use phpMyFAQ's 2.8.3 version with mod_rewrite and we have the same problem[1]:

Pagination works in advanced search result lists, but doesn't work on
  • a category FAQs list,
  • the "all users" list (administration interface),
  • the "edit existing FAQs" list (idem)
(i.e., apparently on any other layout with the paginated navigation feature).

Is it a recurrent issue or do you think that it may be related with our webserver / phpMyFAQ installation?

2.
It seems that pagination code isn't in a single file - are we wrong or just made a bad analysis of the code?

Thanking in advance.

[1] Screenshot - pagination : correct behavior on the left (advanced search), wrong on the right (category's FAQ records) - URLs at image's lower end.

Hi,

one note: "the "edit existing FAQs" list (idem)" has no pagination at all in the admin section. Or do you mean something else?

Hi,

pagination for FAQs in a category works on my test system, I even checked your installation: https://faqs.up.pt/faq/category/8/software.html, works there, too.

Testing more...

Edited title : [v. 2.8.2/3] Paginated navigation seems to works only on the advanced search results list

Thank for your answer(s).

Please notice that we had to _downgrade_ phpMyFAQ's version from v. 2.8.3 to 2.7.9, so you're testing an older version.

We may send the (deactivated) newer version's URL by private mail.

It seems that the only place where the paginated navigation works is in the advanced search result list.

We're sure it will.

You are correct, we meant a different thing.
We'll send more information later - with other issues (unfortunately).
