iOS App

Post by KlausS »

Hello,

Sorry for posting here, but I have no rights to post in the iOS APP section.

First many thanks for this FAQ, because I havent't found anything comparable on the web yet.

Recently I found your note of the iOS App on your homepage. I installed it and it worked without problem (Thanks a lot again to the author).

I use the FAQ as my personal knowledge base, and I set it up with "Sicherheitskonfiguration - Komplett geschützte Artikel --> yes". When browsing the link via browser, I always have to log in before I can read any content.
But then I realized, that I didn't put any user authentication into the app, but I could browse my complete FAQ via app without any login.

I think that shouldn't be possible?!

Hi,

we plan to extend the API in phpMyFAQ 2.9 to allow logging into secured FAQs.

Thanks for using the App!

bye
Thorsten

P.S.: I moved the topic to the App board.

Hi Thorsten,

I would like to ask you when we can expext the release version 2.9 because we are using the iOS App and we need access on secured FAQ's.

Thanks in advance!

Greetings,

Hi,

we shifted this feature to the upcoming 2.10 release as the authentication of an app against a web application should be well designed and secure.

Rolf (the guy who builds the iOS App) and myself are working on this feature.

Thanks!

bye
