Copy Paste Images limitation

Post by JaKe »

We just start using phpMyFAQ 2.9.13 and found one issue that we cannot solve.

When copying multiple images into the TinyMCE editor, only the first 15 will be saved the other images are lost. When we reopen the FAQ and try to add the images again it looks ok but after save the are not in the FAQ...

Is the a setting for this limitation?

Kind regards

Hi,

that's strange. How do the FAQ entry look like after saving? Is it cut somewhere?

bye

Hi Thorsten, the FAQ only displays the first 15 images and the remaining images are not there at all. The text and layout are fine...

I tried to upload the images but that gives me other unexpected behaviour:

* I save my images from the document like 1.png, 2.png etc
* I create a FAQ and upload each image individual
* Now I open a new (external) document and again save the images like 1.png, 2.png etc
* I create a new FAQ and again upload each image, again the FAQ look great
* Now I open the fist FAQ and all images are replaced without an warning about duplicate images ...

Can I configure it so that the system generates random names for the images to prevent duplicate naming?
Or is there an other solution?

Thanks for you support

I also created a Virtul Machine and installed AMPPS and phpMyFAQ from scratch. Here I have the same result:

* Open a Word document and select everything with Ctrl+A
* Paste it in a new FAQ
* The new FAQ contains all the text, NO images
* I can copy/paste the images individual but after X images the are not saved anymore
* In this case X = 2, so only the first images are stored

Found a work-around:

Increased the max_allowed_packet to 32M in the MySQL settings

This made all problems go away
